cannot save page editing via Text Edit

I try to edit some parameters of my existing page via text edit (NOT visual editor). – I can change the parameters or the text , I save page builder and a I save the wordpress page …but when I check the frontend my changements were not made. – When I go back to the backend and Check my page …all my editing has gone… nothing was saved at all.

When I do the same in the visual editor then it works. !!??

What is the problem? Thank You for Your help.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Petcar

    Thanks for reaching out.

Visual/Text tabs and Page Builder are exclusive. You can either manage a given page or post in the Visual/Text tabs OR you can manage content in Page Builder. It’s not possible to combine the two. Content is copied from Page Builder to the Visual/Text tabs to help plugins like WordPress SEO to do their job. If you’d like to de-activate this feature, go to Settings > Page Builder > Content and un-check the setting there.

Hopefully I followed your question, if not, please let me know and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks :)

I think there might be a misunderstanding. Here a more detailed explanation:

When I go to my page, I see the grid of the pagebuilder. I choose a certain block (in the pagebuilder layout) and I click on it, to edit its content. Then I see the content (the text) of this part of my page in front of me, in its visual editor. Instead of editing my text in this visual editor I click to the text tab and I see the text with its html formatting in front of me. There, I edit some parts… e.g. bold type, or I modify some of the text. Then I click to done and then I click the update button in order to save my page ….But nothing was saved. The frontend shows none of my edits. When I go back to the backend, I see that there is still my original content without any adaptations.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the update. Do you have a page I can look at where you can see your bold tag in the Visual Editor widget text tab but it’s not showing as bold on the front end of the site? If you could indicate the widget please.

It does not make any sense to give You a specific page, because I did the editing in the visual editor where Saving works. It is the text editor that bothers me. …it’s not only formatting, but also whole text passages or whatever which cannot be saved while in the text editor.

    Hi, I Work Here

Can I quickly confirm a few terms because there is cross over in the product names.

When you say Visual Editor, do you mean Visual Editor widget?
And when you say Text tab, do you mean the Text tab of the Visual Editor widget?

    Hi, I Work Here

Follow-up: If the answer is yes to both of the above questions then we’re looking at a bug where Black Studio TinyMCE (Visual Editor widget) isn’t fully updating in Page Builder. To troubleshoot this you’d need to de-activate all plugins besides Page Builder and Black Studio, re-test. If the issue resolves you’ll know it’s a plugin conflict problem.
