Cannot Remove of Update Slider

I’m working with the Vantage theme and really like it. I can change the slider option to “None” but it still shows the demo slider. I’ve created another slider using MetaSlider, and I can select that one in the theme customization. Unfortunately, even when that is selected I still get the demo slider. Thoughts?

    Hi Larry,

    Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceHome Page and then click Edit As page.

    Then scroll down to the Page Meta Slider section and adjust the slider. Does this allow you to adjust the slider?

    Alex, thanks for the help. I really appreciate that.

    Unfortunately that’s what I was doing. I decided to just delete the demo slider altogether. That resolved my problem. Now I have a a simple banner inside the page itself.

    Oh, and why didn’t I check this resolved? Because I feel there is something wrong in the code. Perhaps not checking this resolved will help Site Origin. I really like the product and want to see them continue improving the user experience.

    Hi Larry,

    Oh, I was under the impression you hadn’t tried that. To clarify, the page settings and the customizer settings for the slider are different which I suggested I method you didn’t list in your initial post.

    This is a bug – I’m not going to deny that, which will definitely be fixed soon (likely in the next version).

    Alex, my bad. I read your post WAY.TOO.FAST. You are correct. I did not go through those steps.

    Here’s my experience.

    If I change that setting in Customizer, it does not get updated on the page settings.

    If I change that setting in the page settings, it DOES get updated in the Customizer.

    That’s fine mate – it happens.

    To clarify, was adjusting the page settings a solution then?

    That is unclear as I had already removed any possibility that the site would expose the slider.

    Hi Larry,

    That’s true – sorry about that. Let me know if you ever decide to try the Meta Slider again and if so, if this works. Hopefully. by that point such a step wouldn’t be necessary anyway.
