Cannot edit widgets

When I try and edit my page/post in the Site Origin editor widget the editor opens with both panels blank with just the little circles showing it is attempting to load. I have the same issue on all three sites WordPress 4.7.4
I tried disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins made no difference.

I set up a new site with fresh WordPress installation and only Siteorigin Pagebuilder and widget bundle plugins installed I still have the same issue. I have tried from two different computers to illuminate a local hardware/software issue and have the same result. I believe the problem started in the past month (haven’t tried to edit recently). The new website with fresh install should have ruled out a lot.

I can give you temp password access to the new site if that helps.

    Hi Mike,

Based on your description and your troubleshooting steps, I suspect it may be the server you’re using. To clarify, was the different install on a different server/hosting provider? If not, I would recommend getting in contact with your hosting provider and asking if you’re getting blocked by mod_security (or something like that). If you are, can they please whitelist you.

This sort of thing typically happens if hosting providers have overly sensitive security rulesets. :(

Thanks for the response Alex. I did not think it could be the server because when I revert to standard visual editor I can edit and update pages just fine. It is just when I try to use Pagebuilder that the editor will not open.

    Hi Mike,

We use Ajax (it’s how we talk with the without refreshing the page) and return the data in an encoded (read: json) form so quite possilbe a strict filter could flag it while not flagging it for the default editor.
