Cannot edit my selected Widgets

Howdy! I’ve created about 10 sites using the vantage theme & i love it. However the page builder will not let me edit. Even on the older sites that i have built. This use to occur when I installed the site builder bundle widgets pack. Now it let’s me select a widget but doesn’t let me edit my selection. I am running wp 4.6.1 maybe that’s the problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Christopher,

Okay, so I know (due to this thread) this issue relates to editing on your phone. So there’s a few things that we can try, first being a plugin conflict test (as I’m unable to replicate the issue of being unable to edit widgets – the display issues I can replicate), and the second being trying older versions.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins. If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

If the above doesn’t help, would you mind trying a few older versions of SiteOrigin Page Builder to see if you’re able to edit as desired? Please download version 2.4.15 and see if that works for you. To install it, please navigate toWP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and find and deactivate, SiteOrigin Page Builder, then delete SiteOrigin Page Builder. Click Add NewUpload Plugin and upload / activate the downloaded version. Does it work without issue now?

Thx for your response Alex! I accessed an older version of page builder with a plugin called Rollback. I believe it was version 1.4.4 Thx again.

    Hi Christopher,

Are you sure you reverted back to 1.4.4? That’s several years old and likely (read: shouldn’t) work anymore. If you meant 2.4.4, did any other version after that work? (there’s been more than ten versions since 2.4.4).

Yes Yes 2.4.4 I'm sorry!? The problem started with version 2.5
