We have just migrated web-hosts. The home page does not display the sireorigin editor, and the page isn’t being rendered as before, seemingly because the siteorigin plugin isn’t being used. How can i re-activate this?
So far i’ve tried disabling ALL other plugins, making sure my server cache is cleared down completely, and clearing my browser cache. I’ve also tried the default wordpress themes. Looking at similar posts in the past there is mention of an option in Appearence > Home Page where you can enable a custom home page, but this options doesn’t appear in the menu. All other pages on the site seem unaffected, and the plugin loads correctly.
Hi Matthew
Thanks for reaching out.
AppearanceHome Page is a feature that can be enabled by theme authors as a shortcut, unfortunately, it isn’t applicable to the problem you’re facing.
If possible, please, try to enable debug and let us know if any errors print when you view the home page in the WordPress admin or if any relevant errors are logged in your debug file. Here is how that can be done https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-set-up-wordpress-error-logs-in-wp-config/.
In addition, when editing the home page in the WordPress admin, check for JS errors using the console. If there are errors present, please, take a screenshot and upload it to imgur.com or the site of your choice and send us the link. Here is how to check the console https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis.
