Cannot add link anymore in Site Information Text

Hi!

I’ve just updated to Vantage 2.3 from the previous version and it seems that html code do not work anymore in Theme Settings > General > Site Information Text

I used that entry to put copyright information and links to “cookies” and “legal notices” but when I save, all the html stuffs are removed.

“…Copyright…
cookies” -> SAVE-> “…Copyright… cookies”

Do you think it would be possible to add this feature back in my child-theme?
Or do you know a simple way to put some link below the “Site Information Text”?

Thank you in advance,
Kind regards,
David

    I forgot the code tags

    …Copyright…
    <a href="...">cookies</a>
    click SAVE
    …Copyright… cookies

Same problem. Preview works just fine though. Code disappears only when clicking ”save”. Quite ironic.

Same problem! All worked well until the last update. Now the links in the Site information text (and every other HTML) disapears always after clicking Save.

Same here. I upgraded, then HTML was removed from the site information text after saving. Not good.

My workaround (until this issue is fixed) is to add a Text widget to the footer with the appropriate HTML links.

    Hi Everyone

I’ll look into this issue ASAP. This probably has something to do with the sanitization we added in the last update. I’ve logged this as an urgent bug in our issue tracker. I’ll get it sorted out ASAP.

    Hey SiteOrigin Theme,
we are having the same problem, once we updated all the HTML tags disapeared. Tried adding them again but every time we clic “Save Settings” it just erases them.

Any news? This is a reaaaaaaally important feature for us…
    thanks,
    J

    Hi Jose

This should be working properly in version 2.3.1. Are you still getting this issue with this version?

  9. David Briard 11 years, 9 days ago

It has been fixed in 2.3.1.
    Thanks a lot Greg!
