Can we get default settings for Row Styles please?

I’m new to Page Builder so if this somewhere else, then I’m glad to be pointed there.

So I create a new row, and go to the RowStyles on the right. Then open up Layout.

At the moment, when I create a new row, the default value for the Top Padding and Bottom Padding are set to 100px.

This seems really excessive. It makes hugely over spaced posts.

But regardless, there doesn’t seem to be any way to change these defaults to something that works better.

It’s a pain to have to change the value every single time.

There are a few settings on the Settings>Page Builder section. But nothing that would allow this change.

It’s not a style being over ridden by another style sheet, because you can see the CSS code inserted into the tag.

<div class="meteorite-parallax panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-220-0" style=”padding-top: 100px; padding-bottom: 100px; “ data-overlay=”true” data-overlay-color=”#000000″>

Thanks for any help
Norman

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Norman,

The setting you’re referring too (the top/bottom padding) is actually added by Sydney (aThemes may also apply this for their other themes – I’m not 100% sure). We do not apply widget padding by default (we do apply bottom margin however) and if we did, we would add a global setting – which are found at WP AdminSettingsPage Builder.

    Sorry mate.

Sorry, whats “Sydney” in the above reply? Is it a typo?

    Cheers,
    Norm

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Norman,

Sydney is a WordPress theme by aThemes. They add a setting exactly the same as the one you’ve described so I suspected you were using that theme. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup?

The default padding you would like to remove isn’t something added by SiteOrigin Page Builder directly – something else is adding it. I should be able to work out what’s adding it based on a quick look at your theme.

Ah right. I'm not using Sydney or anything by aThemes.

I'm currently using Meteorite by Terra Themes.

You can see an in progress version at nzin2020.nz

thanks for all your help. It's weird to me that a theme would add a style into that tag. I thought that it would be done via CSS, rather than anything so intrusive as direct adding of style tags…

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Norman,

Ah. Thanks for the heads up – I haven’t seen that theme before.

We allow themes (and plugins) to easily extend SiteOrigin Page Builder (reference) and if they do, certain styling may appear there. I’ve had a quick look and this padding is being applied by the extension plugin for your theme, Meteorite Extensions. You can verify this by temporarily disabling that plugin. I would recommend getting in contact with Terra Themes about this.

I’m sorry for any confusion caused by this whole situation!
