Can I use my Vantage theme to build something like the Paypal website?

Hi – I notice many new hip and funky sites are using a continuos scrolling page that has all the info on it as you scroll, menus are out and so are links off this main scrolling page it seems. I really love using Vantage and I have pretty much cracked page builder (see URL below for my latest efforts!) but my business development manager suggests a new build and something like the Paypal site approach – any time on your best theme for that or how to get that look with Vantage?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Timiambeing

So sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner.

One page websites, if that’s what you’re asking about, don’t fit all applications. Your site looks neatly laid out at the moment with an easy to understand navigation. I wouldn’t recommend converting this to a one-page site without a few solid business level reasons as to how it’s going to increase conversion or whatever your metric of success is.

On any page it’s possible to create anchor points that links can jump down to. Here is how: https://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/page-jumps/.

So for example, you could have a contents section at the top of a page and have those links jump down to the relevant section.

If you want to make those anchor links smooth scroll you could use this plugin:
    https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-smooth-scroll-links/

If you’d like to add full width Page Builder rows with a parallax scrolling background then check out my thread here:
Thread: How to add parallax scrolling to a Page Builder row.

Above are a few ideas that relate to the PayPal home page. As I mentioned above. One page sites really aren’t for everyone. For a conventional brand driven website like yours, my recommendation would be to stick with it’s current multi-page setup.

If you see a particular feature out there and need advice on how you might set it up, please, get in touch and we’ll do our best to help out.

Thanks Andrew that’s very helpful – I wondered how to create anchor points anyway! I will take your thoughts on board before I go making big changes :)
