I’m using the Accordion widget and would like to include an external link from either the title or the text. I’ve seen ways to link from a extental text to the widget, but haven’t discovered if there’s a way to do the reverse. For example, if the title of one of my accordion’s is SiteOrigin, is there a way to add the siteorigin.com link to it.
Thank you!
Hi Coach
Thanks for reaching out.
You can add an external link to an accordion title using HTML:
You can do the same within panel content area.
I hope that helps :)
Thanks so much for your response – question, though. Where do I add the
HTML? I can include the html with the title, but then I get the link and test. As there is no option to add "text" versus "visual," is there a different html I should use? In the first example below I've typed the name of the link only in the title. In the second example, I've used the HTML to link to an external site..
Thanks! Reine
Hi Reine
I’m not quite following the question. I’ve added a screenshot for you here.
You only need to use HTML for the title. Replace
https://siteorigin.com
with your link URL and replaceSiteOrigin
with your link text.In the content area, type the link word and then highlight and click the link button.
Please, send a link to the page you’re working on if any of the above isn’t clear and I’ll take a look :)
Thanks for the screen shot – it made me realize that the widget I was using was NOT from SiteOrigin (although the page is built on
PageBuilder/SiteOrigin). Now that I have the right widget, it works like a charm. Thank you again, Reine
Thanks for the update, I’m glad to hear you have an accordion that’s linking as required now.
All the best with your site :)
