Buttons on menu

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I have tried to make my navigation menu look good, however, I don’t think it quite makes it.
Is it possible to use buttons and code produced by ‘Vista Buttons’ to give it the same look and feel of the old site I have www.bellewaarde1915.co.uk?

Do you have a theme that allows more than one navigation menu?
If you do what issues would I have changing from ‘Vantage’?

    Hi Martin

Vantage is our most customisable theme. We, unfortunately, don’t have any themes with the menu style you’re after. It won’t work with your header background but Vantage can support a second menu in the header. Just insert a custom menu widget into Appearance > Widgets > Header. You could also use that same widget in the footer widget area. With a little custom CSS we can turn a vertical custom menu widget in the footer, into a horizontal one.

    Good morning Andrew.
Ah! Now I’ve pricked my ears up!

If its possible to have 2 menus, is it possible to have 3?
In other words, the site being split into 3 and each section having its own menu.
Leading on from there would it also be possible for each section to have its own home page?

Unfortunately, not. The menu location under the header is a single menu location.

    O.K!
So, one menu in header and then others in sidebar using the Woo sidebar plugin?

Could definitely do that. Jetpack Widget Visibility also works well.

    Many thanks again, Andrew.
I’ll draw up a new navigation and give it a go and if I have any problems I’ll get back to you.

BTW, because of your help I have started to call you my ‘Guru’!

For sure. Sounds like you're getting there.

    Thanks for the title :)
