Building Vantage Child Theme

Before I get further along customizing my site I want to switch to a Vantage Child theme however I am confused about how to go about that.

I found this link to what appears to be a child download but it is not clear to me.

Is this the file I would use for a Vantage Child theme

Do you have documentation on how to customize the child and reassign my menu location?

    Hi LennyLynne,

    Here’s a basic child theme for Vantage already set up. Please refer to the codex for more information on child theme. Regarding losing your menus. As the theme slugs are different you’ll need to set up again them due to how they’re stored in the database. It’s possible to get them back again but I honestly wouldn’t recommend it.

    Thank You Alex!!! Transition done! It was seamless. I only had to restore a few customizations (several transferred) and set a few pages back to full page from default. All done!!! The menu, I just had to go into customization and it came up and I re-selected it.

    Not today, thank you. I am sure I will be asking for help in the future.
    One question though: Is there a limit to how many sites we may use the theme and child theme for?

    Hi Lenny,

    There are absolutely no limits to the free version of Vantage.
