Bug about Google Fonts in Vantage Premium theme

Hi,

I bought and used Vantage premium theme since 2016 (v2.6). The problem is, my website contain almost Thai content and it needs Thai subset fonts from Google Font. Anyway, this theme didn’t have option for these fonts set in the theme design section. My work around is host these web fonts on the server and add CSS class for every content.

But after tested with new free theme (v1.14.5), I found that I can use Thai fonts e.g. Prompt, Athiti, Khanit and etc. https://fonts.google.com/?subset=thai . This look easier to manage and not too customize.

Please suggest on this. Should I go for Vantage premium theme? or just keep the workaround. I plan to handover to my colleague some day and I don’t want the customization make them hard to maintenance.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Anusorn

    Thanks for reaching out.

It would be better to migrate to the version of Vantage hosted on WordPress.org as that’s the version we’re maintaining. You can safely make the move as long as you haven’t edited theme files at a code level. To make the move, go to Themes, change to any other theme, delete Vantage and then reinstall from AppearanceThemesAdd New Use the search field at the top right to search for Vantage.

Please, find an update below on the Vantage Premium discontinuation.

In early August 2016 we stopped selling Vantage Premium and introduced SiteOrigin Premium, a single plugin that adds additional functionality to Page Builder by SiteOrigin, the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and all of our themes. In August of 2018 we discontinued email support and updates for Vantage Premium.

Almost all of the additional settings previously found in Vantage Premium are now part of the free Vantage theme hosted on the WordPress.org theme directory. This version is being regularly updated. Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments, two options previously part of Vantage Premium are now addons in SiteOrigin Premium.

If you’d like to make use of the Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments addons in SiteOrigin Premium as well as email support and a host of additional functionality, please find a 30% discount code below:

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, you can migrate from Vantage Premium to Vantage on hosted on WordPress.org without upgrading. Footer Attribution and Ajax Comments are the two elements of Vantage Premium not included in the version on WordPress.org. If you’d like to make use of those, a new SiteOrigin Premium license is needed.
