Blurry text/font

By kjellvis, 7 years ago. Last reply by kjellvis, 7 years ago.

Cant for the life of me figure out what is causing blurriness or fuzzy fonts in the header etc.
If you look at the white text in the blue top menu here: https://pvs.no/gratulerer/ …it’s fuzzy
If you look at the menu here: https://pvs.no/kunde/bli-superkunde/ …it’s sharp

I’ve only managed to get it sharp by adding a widget to sitebuilder: SiteOrigin Features (and leaving it empty)
This is not an option on generated pages like post-lists: https://pvs.no/kunde/nyheterny/

..also I thought I had premium here (bought Vantage premium)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kjellvis,

There’s a minor sizing difference in the text when you compare the pages. I’m unsure on the exact cause at the moment but it’s possible a plugin is causing it. Can you please try a plugin conflict test? This is not to suggest it’s a plugin, but this test is a good way of knowing what’s adding what.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

All plug-ins disabled, all caches cleared, problem remains.
Not it seems it’s gotten worse on it’s own. Some pages I managed to “fix” by adding SiteOrigin Features widget (and leaving it empty), is now back to blurry. I think it may have happened after a pagebuilder and Widget bundle update. But disabling them doesn’t change anything.

Oh, disabling and re-enabling Pagebuilder and Siteorigins Widget bundle made my “fix” work again.
However the original problem remains, f.i. on pages where I cant add the widget (like news-blog, article list, auto-generated pages)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kjellvis,

This may sound odd, but have you tried changing the font to see if that helps? You can change the font by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme DesignFonts and change the Body Font.

You are definately on to something. Changing body font didnt do anything …but if I set either Site Title Font or Heading Font to “Noto Sans (700)” it look good across the site. Any other font selection, and everything goes fuzzy again. For now I’m setting the Site Title font since it seems to have no other impact on the site other than making it look good. And I think this will make it easier to find the source of the problem. Thank you!
