Hi,
it first happened a week ago. Some pictures, namely ONLY blog title pictures AFTER the 6th of may are blurred. But this only happens on Ipads and Iphone (Iphone 4 it’s ok, but on Iphone 4s or higher it happens). On Android, PC, Laptop it looks normal. What can I do?
And another question: I want my blogs to be endless scrolling, how can I change that?
Best regards,
Chris
Hi Chrisfit
Thanks for the wait. I have an iPhone 5s I can test on. I’m struggling to find the problem. Are you seeing the issue on the blog page or the single post page?
Please try the Jetpack Infinite Scroll module for your second question:
https://jetpack.me/support/infinite-scroll/
Unfortunately, at the moment, that module, Jetpack Infinite Scroll, will only work with the regular Blog layout. In the next version of Vantage, due quite soon, we’ll have compatibility built in for Infinite Scroll and the grid layout you’re using.
Hi Andrew,
I see it here (for example):
http://www.chrisfit.at/training-im-urlaub-fitnesstrainer-wien/ or here:
http://www.chrisfit.at/schweinslungenbraten-fitnesstrainer-wien/ but here it is fine: http://www.chrisfit.at/zoodles-bolognese/ or here:
http://www.chrisfit.at/loesen-von-verspannungen-mit-dem-foam-roller/
And the funny thing is: on Ipad2 it's blurred on Ipad air it look good….
It's really strange…
Yeah, I had this plugin, but it didn't work. Ok, then I have to wait :(
I notice you’re using CloudFront. Would it be possible to test without that activated? When did you start using this service?
Hi Andrew,
I think someone did it for me (I paid to get my site faster), because I don't find it. Where is it? It doesn't show up with the plugins….
Thanks for the update. Let me ask Magus here at SO to see if he has the same blurry image issue so we can confirm.
Ok thank you! ?
Here is how it looks now:
That’s Chrome on my iPhone 5s.
Is that how it looks on your side?
I made a screenshot with my Ipad, it looks like this:

or this:

That's really blurred, your pic looks good
Hi Chrisfit
Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:
[email protected]
Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.
Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.
Hi,
I did it, you should have the password now

Unfortunately, nothing made it through. You’d see it here on the forum in a private message. If possible, please use the Private Reply checkbox bottom right and re-send manually. Thanks :)
This is a private message.
Thanks, I’ll be able to check it out in just a bit.
My guess would be to try re-testing with the following plugin disabled:
EWWW Image Optimizer
Hi,
I disabled the plugin but it changed nothed, the pictures were still blurred.
Could we see the original? If possible, please, upload it to Dropbox with a public URL or a similar file hosting service. Thanks.

That should work

The image quality isn’t very high in the original. WordPress, by default, will drop the quality of JPG’s from 100 to 80%. This might explain what you’re seeing.
If you want to try change the JPG compression level you could try something like this:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-resized-image-quality/
The plugin adds a setting which can be adjusted.
Ideally then you’d create a test post and see if there is a change.
I have encountered similar problem after the recent updates to my plugins and and WP itself. I’m on Macbook 13″ Retina, and then some images gets blurred or worst case pixellated.
This evening while doing some test i’ve try to deactivate the option under Vantage settings > General >
” Rescale images to the most appropriate size for mobile devices ”
I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence, but after reuploading the same image, with this option uncheck, the pixellated effect was gone.
I will run some more test tomorrow, and i’ll let you know guys.
I totally forgot about this setting! Thanks for jumping in here Andrea, much appreciated!
Chris, please try disabling Appearance > Theme Settings > General > Mobile Adaptive Images and see if this makes a difference.
