Blog postings and Page Builder

Thanks for your great support guys. I appreciate it.

I am having a problem with Blog postings and Page Builder. I have created a page called Blog using Page Builder that contains a nice image at the top and the Post Loop (PB) widget, and I link to the page from “blog” on my menu. It displays properly, and includes multiple Posts.

But, when you click on the Blog Post, the blog displays with the default “Blog” template, not the Page Builder page.

I would like each Blog post to use the Page Builder Blog page.

Thanks again!

Hi. When you click on a blog post you’re then viewing the single blog post. You can create blog posts using Page Builder under Posts in the same way you use Page Builder when creating Pages. But it’s not possible to somehow reload the Blog page you built with Page Builder and dynamically insert the post into that template.

Thanks. Can tell me how to configure my Posts to be full width without the right column in the default Blog post format. When I use Page Builder on Posts, I get both the full width Page Builder title writing over the Blog column on the right — and I can work out how to change it.

Update. I used custom css to remove the sidebar from the Posts, but I still cannot get Page Builder work with Posts.

I am trying to use a Vantage big headline/subhead widget with each Post — to match the Blog Page. That way each Blog post is visually consistent — every post looks like the main Blog Page.. There are a couple of issues:

    1. The Vantage big headline is rendered after the Post headline and date, but before the Post text.

    2. Also, the Vantage headline and the background color appears on the Blog Page. The Vantage Headline text is centered in the 66% left column, but the background color is 100%.

Is there any way having every individual Post use the Vantage big headline/subhead widget with blog Posts?

The easiest way to remove the sidebar from posts is to remove all the widgets from the sidebar widget area. Custom CSS can do the job too.

It’s not possible to get Page Builder widgets rendering above the title of posts or pages. You could potentially hide the post title with Custom CSS and then use Black Studio Visual Editor to write your own post title below the headline widget.

The color behaviour you described sounds like the default behaviour of the headline widget.

There are no pre-built layouts for posts so you can’t use one layout for posts like you could with pages.
