Blog page sidebar problem

Hi

I’m using the free version of the Vantage theme and I’m thinking about getting the full version – once I know it works like I want it to work.

I’ve set one page to show my blog posts and I have set it to ‘Grid’ view.

Now my sidebar widgets are showing underneath all posts instead of next to it.
How can I fix this?

Mike

    Hi Mike

I haven’t seen this happen before. Let’s try the following:

    1. In one tab open your Blog page at Pages > Blog.
    2. In another tab open up Settings > Reading and deselect your Blog page. Hit Save.
    3. Go back to your first tab and re-load the page. The page template drop down menu should now be available in the right column. Set that to Default.
    4. Go back to Settings > Reading and re-save your Blog page as the posts page.

Let us know how that goes.

    No change…

The page template does look fine on the ‘category’ pages (http://alluneed2succeed.net/category/freebies/), but on the page I set as a ‘posts’ page, the sidebar is still underneath the posts (http://alluneed2succeed.net/best-deals/)

Apologies for the hassle. If the category pages are fine, let’s work around this.

Settings > Reading, de-select this page as your posts page.
Go to Pages > the page in question and click on the Page Builder tab.
Insert a Post Loop widget, select the grid layout from the widget settings.
Ensure Page Template drop down in right column is saved to Default.
    Re-check. Let me know :)
