I’m trying to get my blog page to only show a summary of the post and have a “read more” option but can’t figure out how. I selected “summary” in the reading settings but it still shows the whole post.

    Hi Cliff,

    Preface: The reading setting you’re referring too is purely for RSS feeds and will not effect the blog page.

    What theme are you using? How you do this (or if it’s even possible) is dependent on the theme.

    For example, if you’re using Vantage, you can do this by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsBlog and setting the Post Content to Excerpt.
