Hi Guys,
I have two questions concerning appearance of the blog grid layout as well as the single post page …
ad appearance of the Blog Grid Layout)
Is there any possibility to get the look of a “timeline-layout”? If not, how can I manage, that the blog preview starts directly under the one above? Right now my previews have different sizes in height and therefore the next “row?” starts with different distances. This point is really hard to explain …

ad Single Post Page)
The headline of the single post page goes too close to the menu bar. How can I make a bigger distance between menubar and headline of the single blog page?

Hi Birgit,
ad appearance of the Blog Grid Layout)
Can you link me to a website with a similar setup? Are you after the default blog layout?
You should be able to alter the Blog Widgets settings to a single column. I would recommend giving the documentation a read.

Please add the following CSS to WP Admin > Appearance > Custom CSS:
How does that look?
Hi Alex,
thank you for your support. Single Post Page is fixed! :-)
And one thing at the same time left … Now I have the problem, that you can´t see the menubar, because the bar is set transparent. Is there any possibility to set the bar – only within the single post pages – not transparent?

When you follow the link http://www.carolinehufnagel.com and you scroll down to the picture of the blond woman, working with the airbrush … you will see a margin under the picture. But there should not be any space between image and the end of the cell.

The grid displays itself from time to time different. Sometimes there is just one image in a row, when I refresh the page, suddenly there are 3 images in one row? I can´t find the bug and wrong settings.
Again … thank you in advance!
:-)

Yes. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS and replace:

How does that look? By the looks of it, you’re making use of this effect for all of the pages so I changed it so it only affects pages rather than everything.

Ah. Unfortunately, you’ll need a plugin for that timeline effect. Content Views is the only plugin that comes to mind for general posts but the timeline layout requires premium. Sorry mate. :(

Please open the SiteOrigin Editor you’re using to add this image and untick Automatically add Paragraphs. How does that look?

Can you please link me to the page where one is present?
By the way, as you’re a premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard (please refer to the support tab). Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin order key in the email.

Hi Birgit,
Is your website down? I ask as I haven’t been able to access your website at all today.
Hi Birgit,
I still can’t seem to access your website. :(
It should work now …
Hi Birgit,
Thanks. I’m able to access your website now.

Based on your custom CSS it looks like you only copied a few of the provided selectors. You need to copy all of the provided CSS to have it work. As you’ve made some changes since I provided the CSS I’m going to provide you with some new CSS.
Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS and replce:
With:
ad alignment image)
Please open the editor widget used to add this widget and head over to the widget styles sidebar. Open the Attributes settings group and set the widget class to airbrush and then save the page. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS and add the following CSS:
How does that look?

I’ve looked more into this. This typically happens when you have very large (file size wise, not dimensions) images. We’re looking at adding functionality to avoid this sort of thing in the near future. In the meantime, I would recommend using the SiteOrigin Simple Masonry widget or a number of SitOrigin Image widgets.
The link “”read more” in the layout SO Image Grid” is not working anymore. See … the link goes to the same page again and again.
I can’t seem to see a reason why this is happening based on the markup. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin (please leave the plugin that adds this widget active) plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
Hi Alex,
thank you … We are really coming to an end now … Just some final questions …

How can I make the grey bar in exactly the same height as the menubar?
How can I extend the distance between headline and the grey bar? (The headline is too close to the grey bar …)

Hi Birgit,
How can I make the grey bar in exactly the same height as the menubar?
Are you sure you want this grey bar?
If you don’t, please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS and replace:

If you would rather keep the bar, please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceCustom CSS and add (and adjust) the following CSS:

-) Site Origin Hero: The text is not complete … See Site Origin Hero_Text is not complete.PNG
I’m not too sure what hero widget you’re talking about but I suspect it’s the one on your home page. If so, this is as a result of your settings. You’ve applied 370px of vertical padding to the hero widget and on mobile, the text doesn’t have enough room to display.
Please open your hero widget and open the Design and Layout settings group. Set Top and Bottom Padding to 0. Then set the Extra top padding to, say, 37vmin. How does that look?
-) Site Origin Image: One of the images does not show … See Home_Image does not show.PNG
I couldn’t spot a missing image – I’m going to need to see the image. :(
-) Post Loop Grid: The headlines don´t show. See Gridlayout_HLs do not show.png
This is as a result of the following custom CSS you’ve added.
To override this CSS for the post loop, please add the following CSS:
It should be noted that I see this issue on desktop.
