blog archive shows pagination

I am running a child theme on Vantage premium and for some reason, in my blog archive, pagination is active so that only a single post shows with links to the next page.
I want to display all of my blog posts on the same page as an excerpt, like on your demo page.
I have gone over the theme options several times and I just do not see what I did
What did I do wrong?
Thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi susafri

Head to Settings > Reading and increase the number being set at: Blog pages show at most. That’s most likely set to 1 right now.

brilliant! of course that was it! Thank you so much for your prompt response!

    Hi Andrew,
I have another question: I want to make an archive page for a custom post type. Can you show me an easy way to do that?
I have duplicated the archives.php in my child theme. But things just look different.
I want to get archives only for my Tours post type and a unique sidebar for that.
Here is what mine looks like
    http://localhost:8888/nightskye/tours/
    Thanks for your help

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi :)

Sure. I think we can do this without a child theme or any custom templates.

    Managing Widgets

Either of these two can help you show widgets only for that page:
    http://www.woothemes.com/woosidebars/
    http://jetpack.me/support/widget-visibility/

    Archive Page

You might not need this step as the above widgets can help. Jetpack Widget Vis. for example. You can say only display widget x if we’re on archive page x.

You could also add a new page and use Page Builder to add a Post Loop widget. You could then build a query that only pulls the post type you want. That would leave you free to add content around the loop as required.

    Hi Andrew,
I finally launched my site http://www.thenightskye.com and all looks well
But there is a really weird bug showing when I post the link on facebook:
the post shows the logo and alongside a snippet of code that I traced to the Vantage premium/extras/share.php:
This is what shows next to the title:

    (function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src =

    what is wrong?

PS: I am trying to start a new thread but this site will not recognize my purchase code for the premium theme.
    Please help
    Thank you

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi @susafri

Sorry to hear about the forum issue. No worries at all, feel free to post away on this thread.

Thanks for reporting the JavaScript issue. The code in question is coming from the premium post sharing feature. Perhaps disable that at Appearance > Theme Settings > Social as I’m not sure you’re using it anywhere.

We’ll look into the problem and fix for the next update. The above should fix for now.

    Hi Andrew,
    thanks for your quick reply,

I already deactivated the post sharing feature, but it still shows when I post the link on facebook.
I thought it might be a cache issue and posted it on another browser, but same results.
Can you quickly identify the code issue and tell me how to fix it? It might be just a missing semicolon or something ( I am such an expert) :)

    Hi, I Work Here

I had a look at duplicating the problem now and wasn’t able to. Would you mind running a quick test for us?

    1. Run all updates pending at Dashboard > Updates.
    2. Try testing with all non-SiteOrigin plugins de-activated at once.
    3. Re-test with Vantage, the parent theme activated.

Any help on this would be most appreciated.

Hi Andrew, would love to do that but the site is live now and gets a lot of traffic.
The updates are all current. I deactivated all non-essential plugins, but am running some essential one like custom post type ui and woosidebars.

I can install a test on my devserver if that helps

    Hi, I Work Here

Did you change anything in the last few mins? As we were testing the preview in FB sorted itself out.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hahaha my bad, Greg used the Facebook Linter to refresh the version of your site FB has cached. It seems to have sorted the issue out.

  15. 9 years, 3 months ago susafri

I deleted a couple of plugins: velvet blues, post type switcher,
    deactivated regenerate thumbnails

  16. 9 years, 3 months ago susafri

wait, you are saying its working now?
Not for me? Where is facebook linter?

  17. 9 years, 3 months ago susafri
