I have deactivated ALL plugins, and tried with only the Page builder plugin. The problem still occurs.
I have increased the PHP memory with this (next line), and the problem still occurs.
define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );
With some browsers, I am prompted to stay or leave the page, I f I choose leave, the edit screen goes blank.
If I choose stay, I get an unfamiliar editing page.
Hi Jasgot,
It sounds like you’re seeing the new the Block Editor, which is the new WordPress editor. Please install the Classic Editor. Are you seeing the correct editor now or are you still seeing a blank page? If you’re still not seeing what you should be, can you please show me a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
Please note that we’re currently unable to process attachments at this time so you’ll need to upload the screenshot to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.
Hello Alex,
Same issue with Classic Editor activated.
The one with the blue image is what you see when you click "Edit", and if you stay on the page, the "Stay / Leave" window goes away, but the page stays the way you see it here.
The next screen shot that only show "2019", is what you get if you click Leave in the popup windows.
Notice the 404 error on the page with the blue background.
Our server blocks some countries. If you do not have a proxy, I'll need to know where you are coming from so I can unblock you country.

Hi Jasgot,
Thank you for the screenshot. The date outputting when you open a page is a common sign that Wordfence, for whatever reason, has incorrectly flagged the request. To resolve this please navigate to WP AdminWordfenceTools and open the Live Traffic tab. Filter by Blocked by Firewall and search the request you just made, it’ll be associated with your user account. The parm may start with body: instance=%7B%22frames%22%3A%5B%7B%22content. Once you’ve found the request, click Whitelist param from Firewall.

Please note that Wordfence doesn’t use the WordPress plugin activation system and must be disabled within its setitngs. Wordfence will also affect other sites on your server so you may need to run the above steps on mutiple installs to ensure they’re not incorrectly blocking the request.
I do not see any entries that are blocked by firewall. I disabled Wordfence from the Wordfence->Manage Firewall->Web Application Firewall Status and the issue still persists. Are saying wordfence can act on other accounts in the same server? So if I have wordfence installed in many wordpress accounts, I may have to check the logs of each of them?
Hi Jasgot,
Wordfence can detect things associated with the same account if that account is set up to handle multiple websites. If the accounts are completely independent and they are in no way linked (mainly directory wise), then Wordfence won’t overlap.
I would take a look at the logs of your other websites.
Okay. Each Website on the server is isolated to a unique account. So no worries there.
Disabling wordfence did not resolve the issue.
Hi Jasgot,
Does the blank page with the date remain the same after disabling Wordfence (as in, there’s no change to what you’re currently seeing vs the provided image)? If so, please view the same page again but this time please view the page’s source and send me a screenshot of that.
Are you looking for a particular section? There are 5200 lines of HTML code in the view source.
Hi Jasgot,
That’s odd. If you’re only seeing 2019 there should be less than that. To confirm, does this issue occur if you temporarily switch to one of the default WordPress themes?
Regardless, please do a search for 2019 and send me a screenshot of any occurrence you find.
Well….. It does open to a page, rather than the “2019” It’s mostly an “Ooops, nothing here” page, but it did open. I expected Site Origin to work, but there was nothing for Site Origin there, does Site Origin get installed in to a theme?
Hi Jasgot,
SiteOrigin Page Builder is a plugin and can be installed by navigating to WP AdminPluginsAdd New and search for Page Builder by SiteOrigin.
Okay. We seem to have found the issue. I’ll report back when we have conclusive evidence.
Okay. that didn’t resolve it. We had an identical problem on another site, when they registered and added the Site Builder Pro plugin and a license. The problem instantly went away. Is there updated code in the pro version?
Hi Jasgot,
SiteOrigin Premium upgrades our plugins rather than replacing them. This means you’ll need to have the base plugins (ie. SiteOrigin Page Builder, SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, etc) installed alongside SiteOrigin Premium. This means that the base code of SiteOrigin Page Builder is the same regardless of whether you use the pro version or not.
By the way, as you’re a SiteOrigin Premium user, you’re entitled to priority email support. If you would like to make use of that, please follow the instructions found on your Page: Dashboard (please refer to the support tab). Please reference this thread and include your SiteOrigin Premium license key in your email.
Can you please send me a screenshot of what you see before you see the blank page with 2019 on it?
The license is for another site.

What is the turn around time for a license?
Hi Jasgot,
After purchasing SiteOrigin Premium, you’ll be instantly issued an issued a license you can use.
Thanks. That’s odd. Does this issue only occur on a single specific page or does it affect all pages?
Only a single page. Sending e-mail for support now.
