Hey guys, just a quick one. Can anyone explain why I suddenly have a huge white space on the bottom of most of the pages of my website please?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi, thanks for getting in touch.
If you remove the Search Widget from AppearanceWidgetsSidebar, the issue will resolve. The sidebar should load normally to the right or left of your content. If you’d like to investigate why this is happening, please, let me know. If the sidebar isn’t required then it’s a quick widget delete and you’re done.
Thanks again.
Andrew
Hi Andrew
Thank you very much for getting back to me, but I’ve just removed Search from the Main Sidebar and it’s still not done anything. The big white space is still there.
Thanks for the update. Is the sidebar being used on any post or page? If not, please, try removing all widgets.
Right I believe I’m all done now, I deleted all the widgets on the sidebar as I don’t need them and that space has gone.
Thank you for your help.
Thanks for the update; I’m glad to hear the issue is resolved. Please, let us know if you’d like to use the sidebar on certain pages in the future. We can investigate and get to the bottom of the problem.
All the best with your sites.
Cheers, Andrew
