Big Hero and Text Alignment

I am using a BigHero Image widget in a Vantage theme to create a row, one-half of which will display a fixed image, the other half will display an opaque color block with text:

This is simply accomplished, however, which I stretch the viewport window outside the max container size, the text within the opaque block slides out of vertical alignment drifting away from the center:

Is there a way to control the position of the text content within the Hero?

    Hi Scott,

Unfortunately, we’re not very familiar with the widget you’re using so we may not be able to help, but I’m more than happy to take a look. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

    Alex,

Thanks. No, I don’t have anything available publicly, but I did solve the riddle. I was able to accomplish something similar by using a normal row with a fixed background and an editor widget and then applying some margin math voodoo.
