Background video in Hero doesn’t show on phone/tablet

Hi,

I’m creating a site using the Vantage theme (free version for now).
On the homepage I added a SiteOrigin Hero with 1 frame.
The content of the frame is some H1 text.
The Background video points to an MP4 video that was uploaded to the media library.

Everything looks awesome in a desktop browser.
On a phone or tablet however, the Hero shows up as a colored block (using the Hero’s background color) with text, no video :(

Anything I’m doing wrong?
If not, any suggested alternatives (free or small fee, as it’s a charity website).

    Hi Rene

    Thanks for reaching out.

    The behaviour you’re seeing is expected. Due to battery concerns, there isn’t support for background images in mobile browsers. If you add a background image to your Hero widget it’ll be used as a fallback for mobile devices.
