Hi there,
I wonder if you can help me with something that is puzzling me. I am using SiteOrigin Page Builder, which has worked well so far. I’ve added a background image to a row on my page, which normally works without a problem. However this background image does not appear when I look at the website.
I believe something about the widget in the row above it, SiteOrigin Simple Masonry, is disrupting the row below it and causing the background image not to show up. I think this because I have replicated this row in other places on my page and the background image always shows up. It seems to be something about this specific row and it’s placement below the SiteOrigin Simple Masonry widget.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Cailley
Hi Cailley
Thanks for reaching out.
Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?
Hi Andrew,
Thanks so much for your reply – yes: http://henry.joshschuyler.com/ Bottom of the “Applications” page is where I’m having the issue.
Much appreciated,
Cailley
Hi Cailley
Thanks for the link.
The row in question is using a background image setup by your theme. The positioning is incorrect. Please, see a screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/YQOHHmA. It might be that there is a conflict between one of the widgets on the page and this functionality, I can’t say without digging deeper. Ideally, theme support would take a look as they have control over the originating source code. One immediate option is to perhaps try one of the default Background Image Display options as seen here https://imgur.com/a/zEZyYNz, assuming those haven’t been deregistered by the theme.
Please, let us know how you get on.
Ok thanks Andrew. I couldn’t quite see your first screenshot, but I think I know what you mean about background image set by my theme. Regardless, I’ve decided to change the page, so the background of that row is not longer relevant. I appreciate you taking the time and will use this to troubleshoot in the issue should I need to!
cheers,
Cailley
Hi Cailley
Apologies for the issue with the first screenshot. I’m glad to hear you’re making progress! If any SiteOrigin queries or requests arise in the future, please, let us know.
All the best with your website. Cheers for now.
