Applying Vantage styles in Guttenberg editor

Hi

I have been using Vantage for some time and am very pleased with it. So far I have always used the classic editor for creating posts and pages, but WordPress clearly want everyone to switch to the Guttenberg block editor, and I guess I’ll have to make the move.

My question is about applying my Vantage styling in the Guttenberg editor. The great advantage of Guttenberg is that it is wysiwyg, so that you can see what the final post will look like as you edit. However, Guttenberg uses its own default styles rather than the styling I’ve set in the Vantage customizer, so this advantage is completely lost. (The Vantage styling is applied when a post is previewed or published, of course, but it doesn’t show in the editor itself.)

Is there any way to change this, so that Vantage styling is applied in the editor? I’d be very grateful for any help.

Best, K

    Hi Keith

Thanks for reaching out and for your support; it’s most appreciated.

It would take a bit of development work to output the Customizer chosen styles into the Block Editor dynamically. I’ve logged the request at the link below:

    https://github.com/siteorigin/vantage/issues/412

Unfortunately, I can’t offer a time estimate for completion at the moment.

    Hi Andrew

Thanks for your reply and for registering the request. Vantage is a great theme (and I’ve tried many!) and if it could be integrated more closely with the block editor, then I’d feel a lot happier abandoning the classic editor.
