Applying PageBuilder layout to all posts

9 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 9 years ago

Hi there.

Wondering if there is a way to create a page builder layout to serve as a ‘template’ for the appearance of posts on the website. What we mean with this is a way that we can set a specific area in that page layout where we want content entered in the post editor to appear automatically in this space on the website, without having to add unique details and re-customising the page builder layout each time we want to make a new post?

We’ve begin trying to build this through implementing short code, the two area’s we’ve fallen down with is being able to apply the specific layout to all posts and developing a code that automatically displays the content of the new posts into the content area. Headline, Author, Date, Category and Tags, we’ve been able to achieve to be unique due to short code provided by wordpress.

Keen to hear if anyone else has tried this, if there’s any good methods or if this is even possible.

Cheers.

    Hi THE TURF

    Thanks for posting your question.

Unfortunately, at the moment, we don’t have anything like this available. We hope to in the future but don’t have a timeline on a release. If you’re custom developing a theme then one idea might be to add a custom widget area to your posts and then insert a Layout Builder widget into that custom widget area from Appearance > Widgets. The Layout Builder is a widgetized version of Page Builder.
