appereances on my page suddenly changed

Hi Team,

somehow today or yesterday suddenly some appereances on my page changed without me changing anything.

The two main thing I´ve noticed are:

1) the date and Author name in the Blog Roll doesn´t appear anymore

2) the pages “http://fitvolution.de/ueber-uns/” and “http://fitvolution.de/starte-hier/” appear to be to high up, looking terrible and blocking the main menu.
Maybe this has something to do with the following CSS-Code I am using for those pages:

/* Get rid of page titles on certain pages */
.page-id-2  .entry-title, .page-id-36  .entry-title, .page-id-317  .entry-title {display: none;}

No problems with page-317 though.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Jahn

    Hi Jahn

    Thanks for reaching out.

    1. Please go to Appearance > Theme Settings > Blog and ensure the following setting is enabled: Post Metadata.

    2. Because of caching I’m not 100% sure where this is coming from. The problem CSS is as follows:

    h1 span, h2 span, h3 span, h4 span {
      position: absolute;
       top: -100px;
    }

    Perhaps Appearance > Custom CSS? Removing that will resolve. If this isn’t in Appearance > Custom CSS then please temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if the problem resolves. If it does the re-activate your plugins one by one, each time checking the problem.

    Let us know how you come along.

    Hi Andrew,

    it works by checking metadata but it looks different than before…nothing I can´t fix myself though. Thanks!

    Also thanks for pointing that CSS-Part out for me. I wasn´t able to get rid of that part of that piece of CSS but I found that on those pages was some screwed up html-code wich made them react to the CSS in a way they weren´t supposed to.
    I have no idea how that happend just now though.

    Thanks again!

    Sincerely,
    Jahn
