Am I missing something with menus?

I’m using the Quark theme/framework with SiteOrigin and if I try to add the basic “custom nenu” widgit to a layout all it does is display very basic, vertically stacked, links.

Is there no SiteOrigin widgit? I see info about menus with the Vamtage theme but I tried that theme it it kept throwing errors and If I tried to hide the mast head it would hide the menu as well.

So… What am I missing?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi VC,

The custom menu widget is a standard WordPress widget. This means that the styling for that widget is handled by the theme itself and, sadly, in this instance, your theme/framework doesn’t provide the base framework.

No, we currently don’t have a dedicated menu widget at this time.

Can you please elaborate on the errors you experienced with Vantage?
For reference, you can hide the masthead by navigating to WP AdminAppearanceCustomize, Theme SettingsLayout and set the Masthead Layout to Logo in Menu. Please ensure that the Masthead Menu is not set to Empty Menu.
