Almost a year with the same problem! Please help.

Hi,
Thank you for the great plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin. I really like it, but I’ve had an issue for almost a year and I tried to solve it through the theme developers (thinking that the problem comes from them) and they gently tried to help me by giving me some CSS code but nothing happened.

I’m using the OceanWP Theme (which is really a great theme) with an Addon or plugin developed for them, called OceanExtra which allows you to add a Top Bar or Footer section for example. So, I created the footer section using this plugin and your Page Builder, but for some reason isn’t rendering the columns and rows very well and instead of that all content appears following a vertical line on the desktop version.

(I’ve sent you my website address to your email: [email protected] using Private Snippet. For security reasons and communication purposes I don’t want to make my website public on forum supports).

And for the mobile version they gave me a CSS code to render the content with at least two columns. Could you please make a test in your environment mode with the theme OceanWP and OceanExtra plugin and try to create a footer with the Page Builder plugin??

I would really appreciate your help with this issue!
Thank you for your time,
Regards,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ronys

    Thanks for posting your question.

I have OceanWP and https://wordpress.org/plugins/ocean-extra/ activated. At AppearanceWidgets, I do not see a top bar area. I can see Footer One, Two, Three, and Four. Can you perhaps explain a little bit more about how to replicate the issue regarding where you’re managing your footer?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
Thank you very much for your reply!
Please follow the next steps to replicate on your site:

    1. Find the OceanExtra plugin below the “Dashboard” link, and then go to “My Library” and “Add New”:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iZ1UFYc7l5uFZBPydNNxNC-_BFECtSFu/view?usp=sharing

    2. Then create a basic or normal page with columns and rows using your Page Builder plugin and just published it:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1SERN72yOS5VTC_rBrfC3RyYAnr0uS-_d/view?usp=sharing

    3. Now go to the “Appeareance” -> “Customize” -> “Footer Widgets” -> and select the template that you just created before:
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1y03ybaUGyD1AeWyJ9NCS_FKcL_4FReuA/view?usp=sharing

OceanWP theme is a very complex software with full of options to do almost everything. I’m sure that it’s the best out there and It has a section of several options (that they moved I don’t know where) where you can disable the Javascript, CSS, and many other things that could cause conflict with other plugins. It’s very useful.

And, as little detail, I really don’t like the Elementor plugin, and this theme (OceanWP) seems to be partner with them, and every time I tried to activate Elementor (having the Page Builder Activated as well), it will automatically break the page you are trying to work with and there is no way to recover it. I understand that both plugins doing similar things could have conflicts, but it’s very rare the way it will break your page / site, or maybe it’s just me.

    Thank you for your help!
    Regards,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Thanks for the steps.

Page Builder seems to be rendering normally in my installation: https://imgur.com/a/k5UGvVw

I’m able to install Elementor alongside Page Builder and open Elementor: https://imgur.com/a/LeaXEhe

To start the footer troubleshooting you could try the following:

    – Clear any caching or optimization-type plugins.
    – Temporarily deactivate all plugins except for OceanExtra and Page Builder.
    – Does the issue persist?

    Hi Andrew,
I apologize for the delay and thank you very much for your help,
Did you do some modification on your plugin since I started this thread / topic ?
Because, I honestly didn’t do any modification on my site and it started to work just fine or as it should!
I had this problem for almost a year and I did dozens of tests in the past, with plugins, themes, themes developers, cache, scripts, CSS, html, snippets, navigation browsers, private windows, etc.. nothing worked well.. just some slight changes.. but now it’s working extraordinarily well !.. so extraordinary, that even on the mobile version is working! and If this is just a coincidence I’m extremely surprised!

So, thank you very for your help, if it was you who fixed it after I contacted you, or thank you very much if this was just an incredible coincidence and you tried to help me anyway !

    Have a great day!
    Regards!

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi, thanks for your kind feedback.

Since we’ve been chatting, there hasn’t been an update to Page Builder that would have changed the behavior in question. Unfortunately, I’m unsure what changed but I’m glad the issue is resolved on your site.

    Cheers for now :)
    Andrew
