Align Logo in Masterhead with menu (aligned right)

Hello,

I would like to align my logo (left) to my menu (right) to be horizontally the same but one on the left and one on the right.

The issue is that when I tick the option logo in menu, a lot of coding text appears on top of my logo. When I don’t tick this, my logo is on top. You can see the result in here: www.samruault.com

Is there anything I could do to avoid this? I had it perfect on my previous website but I lost all my xml files and need to restart it all.

Thanks for your answer,
Kind regards,
Samantha Ruault

    Hi Samantha,

    That’s odd – that definitely shouldn’t be happening. Can you please enable the Logo in Menu option so I can see the code you’re referring too?

    Hi Alex,

    I have now put the logo in menu so you can see the code. Tell me if this helps;

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Samantha,

    Thanks. That code looks to be added by a plugin that handles deferring JavaScript. I’m unsure why it’s being adding there so I would take a look at the plugin that’s doing the settings to see if you can change the output location somehow. Not too sure what plugin handles this sort of stuff? I would do a plugin conflict (don’t worry, it’s not one!) test to try and work out what’s adding it. For reference, here’s our typical plugin conflict test:

    This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

    If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    Hi Alex,

    Thanks a lot for your quick answer. I deactivated every plugin that isn’t SiteOrigin Plugin and cleared my caches but the issue is still there.

    IS there another possibility for the issue to happen?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Samantha,

    We don’t ship with that sort of code out of the box so I’m not too sure why it would be there. Hm. Did you at any stage directly edit header.php (via WP AdminAppearanceEditor – we don’t recommend doing this)? Maybe you placed some code in the wrong area.

    if you’re unsure, try reinstalling Vantage. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceThemes and change to a non-Vantage theme, then delete Vantage. Click Add New and search for and install Vantage. Activate it when prompted. Does the code remain?

    Hi Alex,

    I updated the theme Vantage and it now works, the only think is that the squares for hover menu are not touching the bottom of the header. There is an awkward gap and the logo isn’t aligned center to the horizontal center of the menu. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Samantha,

    This is going to sound weird but, try adding the following CSS to WP AdminApperanceCustom CSS:

    #masthead.masthead-logo-in-menu .logo script {
    	position: absolute;
    }

    How does that look?

    You might also need to install the SiteOrigin CSS Editor.
