After the recent update Page Builder Plugin is crashing pages. Help please!

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

After the recent update, only a contact form shows up on each page (never seen this before), even though only one of the pages has a contact form. I went ahead and disabled all plugins except PB and still had the same issue. It got to the point that I was able to have all plugins except PB activated and the backend of the pages showed up. However, without PB working correctly you can understand the entire website is messed up. Are there issues with WordPress or a new update of PB that you are working on?

    Hi Jared,

Unfortunately, you’re the only one who has reported this issue so it’s likely related to your install. :(

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on? If you need to keep this URL private from other users, just select “Private Reply” on the bottom right of the comment box.

    Alex,

Thanks for taking a look at this issue for me. The website was built four months ago and this is the first instance of this issue. I have used PB in many websites but this is the first time I have seen this. I would give you a login/pass to the backend if you would like to look at it further. The site in question is http://www.montanaseahawkers.org

The site looks fine on the frontend but the issue arises when you edit the back end. Let me know what you think, thanks!

    Hi Jared,

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

I have created the user account for you and it should have sent your user info. Thank you for your help in this matter!

Hi. I am experiencing the same issue. The page builder is not appearing on any of my pages. I tried deactivating and reactivating, but have not had any success.

    Traciejae,

Does anything show up? My page, on the backend, gets replaced with a contact form looking page. Not an exact contact form but something that resembles the structure of one.

The PageBuilder tab doesn’t appear at all.

    Hi Jared,

Unfortunately, this issue relates directly to your theme. I suspect, based on SiteOrigin Page Builder being a recommended plugin, that they’re doing something special with SiteOrigin Page Builder and, for whatever reason, it’s erroring out. Can you please contact the developers of your theme to see if anyone else has reported any issues with SiteOrigin Page Builder? Please be sure to reference this thread.

I have page builder installed on this theme on multiple other websites and have not had this issue. Neither has this theme been updated at all so I have ruled it down to a page builder conflict. Any ideas?

    Hi Jared,

Please contact the theme developer to see if they’ve heard of any other reports. This issue only occurs when the theme and SiteOrigin Page Builder are both active so, as stated, they’re directly related. You can confirm this by temporarily changing theme or temporarily disabling SiteOrigin Page Builder.

Regardless, I’ll make a note of this compatibility issue to see if this is something we can look into.
