Adsense display issue with Vantage premium

Hi,
I’m trying to display adsense on my website
Adsense account working and activated and approved
Tried the Adsense plugin developed by Google, didn’t work
Under the plugin settings, when clicking on “Manage ads”, the plugin starts analyzing, then i get the error message: Oops something went wrong, please try again
After googling the issue, tried many things other people have the same issue and suggested to clean the cache, didn’t work
Disabled all plugins except the Adsense one, didn’t work
Switched from the child to original theme, same issue
At the end I tried a different theme, (Twenty fifteen), there was NO issue, plugin works fine
I’m not sure what’s causing the issue with the Vantage theme
I gave up on the plugin and decided to put the ads manually using the text widgets in the header and the sidebar
I created 2 responsive ads in my adsense account, copied one in text widget in the header and the second one in the text widget in the sidebar
When checking the site on a none desktop device, ads works fine and appears on both location
When switching to a desktop view, the one in the header doesn’t appear, inspecting the element in the developer tool, shows the google adsense script is there, the dimensions are 0x0, even changing the dimensions in the css, or adding z-index to 9999, doesn’t solve the problem
In the console, it shows the following error: Uncaught TagError: adsbygoogle.push() error: No slot size for availableWidth=0
on the other hand, it works fine in the sidebar
Both ads a responsive
Not using any custom css related to the ads script
Any help would be appreciated
For the moment, i’m keeping the responsive ads on the website (header and sidebar) for you to keep a look when you inspect the website
Looking forward to hear back from you
Regards,

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Mahsaad

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for the quick response.

Before proceeding with creating the account and after more research about the issue, found the following:

Regarding the plugin, It seems that there is something wrong with it, whenever i click the Manage ads button even though it’s returning an error message, I noticed that it’s creating Ads units in my adsense account, ended up with tons of those, so i don’t think i’ll be using the plugin.

Regarding the manual ads integration, according to:

    https://stackoverflow.com/questions/25810361/cannot-find-a-responsive-size-for-a-container-of-width-0px-and-data-ad-format-au

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/32300498/google-ad-cannot-find-a-responsive-size-in-non-fixed-width-div

    https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/3543893#adv

As per that last one, section: Advanced features, sub-section: Specify an exact size per screen width

Since the responsive ad doesn’t have a predefined dimensions, and since the ad script is in an element that doesn’t have dimension since it’s empty, that’s why it’s returning the console error:

Uncaught TagError: adsbygoogle.push() error: No slot size for availableWidth=0

    Which is logic

The solution according to google and other forums, is to define the ad container width per screen width using css media queries

I tried that and it fixed the issue

I don’t think you have to login to investigate the issue, unless you have a better solution

    Thanks again Andrew
