I inherited a site from a new client.

There are supposed to be some banner ads running on the home page. In the editor, there are three sections labeled: ‘Missing Widget’

If I click EDIT, the area shows: The widget ads_header_widget is not available. Please try to locate and install the missing plugin. Post on the support forums if you need help.

Does anyone have any insight on the issue?

    Hi Tim,

    This error message occurs when whatever, be it the theme or a plugin, was adding the widget is no longer present. Unfortunately, the missing widget is a third party widget. We’re unfamiliar with it so we’re not too sure on what was adding it.

    I would temporarily reinstall any recently uninstalled plugins to see if that re-adds the widget back.
