Adding row inner wrapper

Hi all,

First of all… nice plugin. Thanks for making this available for free.

I would like to replicate the functionality of the Full Width row setting without the need for the javascript that adds the negative margin and padding on each side.

So, I would like to insert an extra div (to be used to limit content width) within the existing div.panel-row-style

That way, I could still apply classes to the full width row and also limit the width of its internal content without the need for javascript.

I have already tried the existing filter hooks, which allow you to add code OUTSIDE the row… but that doesn’t help achieve my goal.

Besides hacking the plugin code (or using more js)… anyone know a way to do this?

Thanks!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Jamesrice,

Unfortunately, this is beyond the scope of what we can help you with on the forums. This change would involve too much development time, and we can’t think of a justifiable reason for such a change. You’re welcome to submit a pull request if you can find a decent place to put an action though.

    Hey Alex,

    Thanks for the reply.

I would think the justifiable reasoning would be to accomplish the full width rows without needed js and inline styles… but with a free plugin I certain wasn’t expecting you to run off and code it. I know the js solution is probably more novice user friendly since it can sniff out the width on its own and behave accordingly.

It seems like adding a similar filter to the one that already exists for the outer code could pretty easily add inner code, no?

    Thanks

    Hi Jamesrice,

I’ll bring it up with the development team. I would suggest submitting a pull request though as that will speed up the process. Here’s a link to the SiteOrigin Page Builder GitHub.
