Hi, I am trying to add the Pinterest pin id attribute to specific images on my wordpress website for analytics purposes. Without this attribute, the popup works and allows users to pin my image to a board on their Pinterest account (but NEVER shows that you have already pinned it if it already exists in your pins). It also feeds immediately to a confirmation page that asks you if you’d like to view it. When I add the pin id to the html in visual editor, the popup window works and reminds the user (if necessary) if they have already saved this pin image to their Pinterest account (which tells me that it recognizes the id attribute) but otherwise is ready to save anyway. When the user picks a board and clicks save, the popup disappears, no confirmation of saving is given, and the pin is not saved to their account. Could anyone please assist in fixing this issue or explain to me why the pin id attribute breaks the sequence of saving the pin?

Hi Jeffrey
Thanks for reaching out.
Unfortunately, I haven’t worked on an issue like this in the past. If possible, could you perhaps recreate the issue in the Block or Classic Editor without Page Builder or a SiteOrigin widget? That’ll at least let you know whether the problem is a general challenge or in some way tied to SiteOrigin.
Yes, I will do that later today and update with results. Thank you.

Sounds good, chat then :)
So I am finding that no matter how I input the code for my image (visual editor/page builder or html text editor) and add the attributes required, that the data-pin-id breaks it. With and without page builder. Even in the text side of the editor. Is this a theme or WordPress issue or does siteorigin affect everything displayed on my site since that’s the editor I use?
You can view the issue at https://www.tarotliza.com/pinterest-test
The code currently has the data-pin-id in the first image but not the second.

I am also finding that it does both of those images will work from a mobile device, but the image that has the data-pin-id loses all attributes when saving to Pinterest whilst the second image that does not have the data-pin-id does not lose the other attributes when saving to Pinterest. This only applies to mobile device saving.

Thanks for the feedback.
If content is inserted outside of Page Builder then Page Builder won’t have any influence over that content. If you suspect the challenge is related to your theme, temporarily deactivate all plugins except for the Classic Editor plugin and switch to a default theme like Twenty Sixteen and then re-test the issue in the Classic Editor. It’s a quick test that’ll let you know if your theme or any plugins are part of the problem. Sorry, I can’t assist further, I wish I could. We work with limited resources, if you have any SiteOrigin questions, we’re here to help.
