I would like to add a logo and some text to the footer on the site I am building, I am using the Vantage template. I have added the Image (PB) widget but I am not sure how to use it, it asked for an image URL and I am not sure what that means. If I have the image in the Media section why can’t I just place it? And how to arrange the logo to be on the far left with the address (text widget) under it and then the menu links to the right of this info? Thank you.
Hi Erin
The Image (PB) widget needs the media url to work. That url is available in the right column of the media library when viewing an image there.
Alternatively check out our newer image widget which you can find in our widget bundle plugin: http://wordpress.org/plugins/so-widgets-bundle/. Head to Plugins > SiteOrigin widgets to activate the new image widget. To insert it look for SiteOrigin Image Widget under Appearance > Widgets.
You could also use the Visual Editor widget to insert your image. It has an Add Media button. To get access to that widget you must first install: http://wordpress.org/plugins/black-studio-tinymce-widget/.
If you use the Visual Editor widget you can insert your image, hit enter and then place your text, all in the same widget. That will sit next to your menu links widget. So I’d recommend that route.
