Adding button to header

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

I am trying to add a button to the header of my website. I have created the button (remote support) but the only option I have found is adding it to the footer. I have tried everything I can think of. Open to all suggestions.

Hi, thanks for posting your question.

Which theme are you using? It’ll be up to the theme to add a widget area or another method of adding a button.

I believe it is a custom theme. We had a company create our website for us. Now, we are responsible for updating and adding new features.

    Thanks,
    Trini

Hi Trini, thanks for the feedback.

One option would be to add a header widget area as a custom development task. If you aren’t able to do that, you might consider a service like Codeable.io.

Alternatively, if you have a menu in the header, you could try finding a plugin that adds a widget area via the menu https://wordpress.org/plugins/widgets-in-menu/.
