I cant add overlay background to any page builder. I dont have this option. On another page I have the option of adding an overlay to the image. What should I do to make the option of adding overlay appear?
Hi Renegat,
Can you please show me a screenshot of what the overlay field looks like on the other page? I ask as we don’t have an overlay field so I’m not too sure what specifically is adding this functionality but if I’m able to inspect it, I should be able to work out where it’s coming from.
I am sending screenhots from two websites. On one when editing the table it is possible to add an overlay to the image, and the other is not. I do not know if I have presented the problem correctly.

In any case, I found something like this on the site
https://orionthemes.com/knowledgebase/adding-color-overlays-to-siteorigin-page-builder-rows/
I do not have the option to add overlays. Besides, I see that there are different options overlay dark, light, etc.
Hi Renegat,
Thanks. Unfortunately, the overlay (dark overlay, light overlay, etc) functionality pictured in the provided screenshots isn’t in the base version of SiteOrigin Page Builder. It’s very easy to extend the SiteOrigin Page Builder interface so certain theme and plugin developers have added additional functionality to SiteOrigin Page Builder. Orion Themes is an example of such a developer. Another example of a developer doing this is aThemes.
To use this functionality you’ll need to install the plugin and/or theme that adds this functionality.
Thank you for Alex S.’s answer. Does the premium version have such functionality? I’m using a Spacious Theme and Sydney.
Are there any plug-in plugins that can activate this functionality?
Hi Renegat,
Unfortunately, no. SiteOrigin Premium doesn’t add this functionality at this time.
I’m not aware of any standalone plugins that add this functionality at this time. You’ll need to use a theme that adds this functionality.
