I am using Vantage and have page builder installed. For some reason the Add Media button does not work every time.. In fact it very rarely works. But I have noticed when it does work it’s when the page builder tab (as seem in the link below) has loaded. Other times the whole page builder space loads below the page editing area and this is when the Add Media button doesn’t work.

I have tried disabling all widgets and that has gotten me nowhere.

Sorry to hear about the hassle.
Just a quick confirmation, it’s not possible to edit text that was inserted into the regular Visual tab, in Page Builder. It’s also not possible to edit Page Builder content in the Visual/Text tabs. Doesn’t look like you’re trying to do this but this is something that comes up from time to time.
Please can you try de-activating plugins again. To test you’ll need to de-activate all plugins not made by SiteOrigin. They should all be de-activated at the same time. You’d then go and test the Add Media button a few times. If the problem resolves you’ll then re-activate your plugins one by one, re-checking the problem after each activation.
