Hi, I’m using Site Origin North, Mono theme. I totally love the ease of adding stuff through the live editor, though there a few things I still haven’t figured out. My site is here
One thing I’d like to do is to have my contact numbers at the top of the page, like this

Can anyone give me a steer how I add a line above the top menu where I could add text and social links? Thanks

    Hi Colin

    Thanks for reaching out.

    From AppearanceCustomizeTheme SettingsHeader you can add simple text to the Top Bar field, it’ll be added on the right of the top bar. Alternatively, you can make use of the widget area at AppearanceCustomizeWidgetsTop Bar.

    Brilliant, thanks Andrew,
    I like that top bar widget (though not easy to find). I’ve added the numbers I want and it looks fine. Is there a way of reducing the height of the widget and can images or logos like phone or FB be added?

    If you have the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle plugin activated you can go to PluginsSiteOrigin Widgets, there you can choose which widgets to enable. Once enabled you can make use of the Social Media Buttons widget, the Icon widget and the Editor widget if needed for text or images.

    The Top Bar Widgets Padding setting is accessible from CustomizeTheme SettingsHeader.

    Thank Andrew. The Editor widget is great, as is the social media widget. I can’t figure how to combine an icon (like a phone) with text, like a phone number, though. Is it possible?

    Hi Colin, we don’t currently have an easy way to add an icon with text directly after the icon. The SiteOrigin Features widget can do this but it isn’t ideally suited. You could try the FontAwesome plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/font-awesome/ (see the documentation further down the page) and use https://fontawesome.com/icons/phone?style=solid.

    Maybe a step too far for me but hopefully at some point the Editor or Features widgets will get that capability?
