Acf breaking after using Blog Grid Widget

Hi,

Thanks for the great plugin. I really like it and it’s perfect for my custom theme.

However, I have came across an issue when trying to build my custom theme.

When I try and call the Advanced Custom Field (ACF) function “get_field()”, after using “the_content()” I do not get any value from the “get_field()” function. The only Page Builder widget I am using inside my content is the Blog Grid widget. If I delete this widget and save the page then my ACF functions start to work again. Why could this be? I am still trying to use the ACF functions within the WordPress loop.

I do not have a live version of this site as it is currently on my localhost, I know this is a problem but any help is appreciated.

I am running the latest version of all plugins and WordPress.

WordPress: 4.5
Livemesh SiteOrigin Widgets: Version 1.2
Page Builder by SiteOrigin: Version 2.4.6
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle: Version 1.5.11
ACF: Version 4.4.6

If you need anything please let me know.

Kind Regards,
Ben

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Ben

    Thanks for your support.

We might need to take a look at your theme but just shooting from the hip for a moment, the Post Loop widget adds a loop within the_content function. Is that not the challenge here?

    Hi Andrew,

I did post a comment however I don’t think it has been added for some reason…

Basically, a “wp_reset_query()” has not been added after the loop so I added this in to your plugin where needed and it has worked. Perhaps this should be inserted in the next release?

    Kind Regards,
    Ben
