Accordion widget can’t be edited after saving page

Hey SiteOrigin,

I am very happy for your theme, but I have some troubles with the Accordeon widget in Page builder.

I’ve tried to use it in different browsers, deactivated the widget and activated it again, logged out and logged in the WordPress, cleared cache, but I get the same problem.

When I try to edit the accordion (add new panels, change content in panels etc.), click on Done and Update the page – the changes are not there! I get a message when I open the Edit of the Accordion again, that:

“There is a newer version of this widget’s content available. Restore or Dismiss
Clicking Restore will replace the current widget contents. You can revert by refreshing the page before updating.”

I have tried Restore and Dismiss, but nothing works.

Can you please help? Thank you in advance! :)

BR.,
Kremena

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kremena,

This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Hi Alex,

Thank you for your answer. :)

I have now tried everything you’ve suggested:
    – deactivated all plugins; the only 2 active plugins are Page Builder and Widget bundle by SiteOrigin.
    – cleared cache
    – edited accordion
    – Updated page
    – Worked
    – tried to edit again
    – Got message “Restore or dismiss”
    – Changed the theme to the default WP theme (Twenty Seventeen)
    – cleared cache
    – tried to edit
    – not working
    – Opened the admin page in another browser
    – cleared cache
    – tried to edit
    – not working
    – Changed the theme to the Twenty Fifteen
    – cleared cache
    – tried to edit
    – not working

I really can’t figure out why it’s not working!?

I guess I should just find an alternative plugin?

    kind regards,
    Kremena

    Hi Kremena,

That’s odd. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kremenad,

I’ve run a few tests on your website and I can’t seem to replicate any issues with the accordions you’re using on a test page. Which page are you specifically editing (and if applicable, which Accordion) and can you please provide an example of the edit you’re trying to make that’s not working?

    Hi Alex,

I can’t add or edit accordion on the Home page.

I can see there is no problem on the test page.

    I also don’t understand it.

I think I’ll just try to find some other plugin….

Thank you so much for your time and help. :)

    Best regards,
    Kremena
