A Problem with Page Builder

By John Stange, 7 years ago. Last reply by Alex S, 7 years ago.

I have been using your North theme for a redesign of my website, stanges.com. The North version can be seen at stanges.biz. Today while tying to edit an existing page i clicked on the page builder tab and received a page with this response:

“”Page Builder by SiteOrigin is the most popular page creation plugin for WordPress. It makes it easy to create responsive column based content, using the widgets you know and love. Your content will accurately adapt to all mobile devices, ensuring your site is mobile-ready………
It’s a free plugin that will instantly enhance your WordPress experience. Install Page Builder now to get started.”

I then clicked to install Page Builder. I then received this response:

“Installing Page Builder
Downloading install package from http://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/siteorigin-panels.zip…
Unpacking the package…
Installing the plugin…

Destination folder already exists. Private Snippetwp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/

Plugin install failed.

Return to Plugin Installer”

How do I fix this?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi John,

The only way to resolve this issue is to manually navigate to wp-content/plugins/ and remove the siteorigin-panels directory. This can be done via FTP. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend contacting your hosting provider to ask for their support in removing it.
