Hero Widget – buttons broke after upgrade

After upgrading Site Origin Widgets bundle plugin to the latest version 1.6.1, the buttons in my Hero Widget broke – the background color has disappeared (now is transparent) and the text color has changed and become smaller too I think. Tried custom css but didn’t work. Running WP 4.5.2 still (wanted to check the plugins…
