2.11.3 – Bug – Not able to update/create content

Hi there,

since I’ve updated to Version 2.11.3 on my WordPress multisite(https://fulpin-maxime.com.au/), I cannot update nor create content on existing pages. For instance, I can’t add testimonials. It does not save the content when I save the page updates.

How can I debug it?

Thank you for your help

Maxime

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Maxime

    Thanks for reaching out.

Please, try to find a working baseline. If you temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin, does the issue resolve? If so, please, try reactivating your plugins one by one, checking for the issue after each activation. If you have lots of plugins you can perhaps split your plugins page into four blocks to try narrow down which plugin might be causing the conflict.

Hi Andrew, I’ve just tried to deactivated all plugins excluding Site Origin but it does NOT solve the problem unfortunately. What is the next step of the debugging please?

PS: I’ve tried after updating to version 2.11.5

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Maxime

Are there errors in the console when the issue occurs? Here is how to check https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis

    Hi Andrew,

when I open a content section, there is actually an error – JQUERY error: https://snipboard.io/U7BLPh.jpg

    Thank for advising.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for the screenshot. Does the issue perhaps resolve if you temporarily switch to another theme like Twenty Twenty? Alternatively, you can install the jQuery Migrate Helper plugin from PluginsAdd New. The plugin will let you know if any plugins or your theme is using a function from jQuery Migrate which was removed from the WordPress core. The plugin will patch the issue.

Thank you very much Andrew. Installing jQuery Migrate Helper helped. I will raise the issue to the theme editor. Cheers

    Hi, I Work Here

Super, glad to hear jQuery Migrate Helper patched the issue. Once the issues have been resolved via an update/s, jQuery Migrate Helper will remove its warnings, you can then remove the plugin.

All the best with your site :)
