Creating a child theme for Vantage Premium

Hi,
I am trying to create a child theme for Vantage Premium.

I created a new theme folder “vantage-child.” I then made copies of header.php, index.php, screenshot.png, style.css (Modified: Theme Name: Vantage Premium – Child), and style.less (Modified: Theme Name: Theme Name: Vantage – Child).

Now I see the theme listed in the backend of the site, but the Live Preview doesn’t work.

I don’t want to activate the Child Theme until I get the Live Preview to work.

I am running the Vantage Premium Theme version 2.1.5, and need to update to 2.3.3.

Any assistance would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Ryan

    Hi Ryan

What are you trying to do with your child theme? A good place to start is using this child theme starter.

From there, if you let us know what you’re trying to do, we’d be happy to help.

    Thanks Greg,
I am just trying to create a child theme. Seems simple enough. I had done it with other themes and took the same steps but it isn't working.

I will give that starter a shot!
