Yoast Site Origin Conflict

I have set a static page as the home page. The page is set to the full width template. Theme is Genesis Sample theme.

The home page displays fine until Yoast SEO plugin added. Once plugin activated the home page is now pulling in the sidebar content – seems to change template from full width to content | sidebar template.

I can hide sidebar and added elements using css and display none but would rather fix the issue by identifying and eliminating the conflict if possible. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi :) Sounds like you have a good grasp on the challenge. Looking at the source code for the page, the page template is indeed being set to default which in most themes means the sidebar is being rendered. Here is how the body classes look:

    <body class="home page page-id-5 page-template-default custom-background siteorigin-panels content-sidebar" itemscope="" itemtype="http://schema.org/WebPage" id="ls-global">

    Any chance you’ve reached out to theme support for help on this? I see you’re using Page Builder for this page. Page Builder doesn’t handle the page template though, that would be the theme’s domain. Theme support would be in the position to help.

    I assume you’ve tried re-saving the page after activating Yoast? Making sure the page template is still set to full width.
