Yoast + Pagebuilder content analysis broken since yoast update to v3

Hi,

Since Yoast SEO updated its plugin to version 3, the content analysis is broken in combination with Page Builder. It now simply shows:

The text contains 1 words. This is far too low and should be increased.

Same of course with other content like outbound links, etc. Using text widgets. Would like to use that other black thing virtual text widget that had been mentioned in another thread here and see if it solves the issue, but that completely breaks PageBuilder on our site, so I am reluctant to install it again.

This Yoast FAQ might explain what is breaking the working with Page Builder: http://kb.yoast.com/article/217-is-the-plugin-compatible-with-xyz-visual-page-builder

Digged through dozens of forums of users complaining about this issue, so maybe there is a way to fix this in the nearby future somehow?

If there is any workaround available at the moment, would be greatful! We highly believe here that two of the biggest and most useful plugins of wordpress should be able to work together seemingly :)

    Hi Platschi

    Thanks for reaching out.

I’ve asked several users to run a content test for us. Create a fresh page, don’t use Page Builder, add the same content and check the analysis results. The results we’ve received back are really inconsistent. At times, WP SEO is failing without Page Builder in play. I’ve also tested WP SEO in Page Builder with user content and have received positive results from WP SEO analysis, the user in this case didn’t. In summary, we’re seeing really inconsistent results from WP SEO analysis at the moment. I’d be happy to run a test for you. If you go to Prebuilt > Import/Export > Export from any Page Builder page you’re testing you can download a JSON file. Upload that to a site like https://www.wetransfer.com/ and send us the link. We’ll take a look and see if we’re getting the same results.

Thanks so much for the update. Until WordPress SEO is delivering more consistent results, I’m not sure local testing on our side will make any difference. Everything users have reported so far hints towards a fix or adjustment needing to be made by Yoast.
