WP 4.4 native responsive image support in PB

Hello SO Team!

First of all, I’d like to thank you for the great work you are doing! You are doing a lot to make using WP a charm! :)

Since version 4.4 WP supports responsive images natively, adding the srcset and sizes attributes automatically to all images which are added through the “add Media” button in the normal text editor.

Unfortunately, I had to find out, that PB does not make use of these functions.
These are:
wp_get_attachment_image_srcset
and
wp_get_attachment_image_sizes

There has been a discussion on the wordpress support boards as well:

I’d love to get some insights, if and when this would be available.

    I am running into this issue. Is this still not implemented in SO. Doesn’t seem to be?

    Unfortunately, this is only being done in the Widgets Bundle Image Widget at the moment. I’ll log an issue shortly to expand responsive image behaviour wherever possible in the Widgets Bundle. Thanks for raising this.
