WordPress Seo not compatible with Circle icons and Meta slider?

11 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 11 years ago

Hello,
i am building a website with the great Vantage theme and last week i noticed that it did not show up in google search, so i installed WordPress SEO by Yoast plugin. I have my home page set up with an image slider (made with Meta Slider plugin) and three circle icons with some social links. However, SEO doesn’t recognize them as ‘external links’/or text (0 words found in this page/no external links found) and doesn’t recognize the slider as image (no images found in this page). Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

    Hi neo

I’m not sure that WordPress SEO would or can recognise what’s happening in Meta Slider. This is something you could perhaps raise with WordPress SEO and or Meta Slider.

From Page Builder’s side we have a setting under Settings > SiteOrigin Page Builder that allows for content to be copied from the Page Builder tab over to the Visual/Text tabs once you hit save. That’s our way of ensuring that WordPress SEO has data to work with. So what you can do is confirm that once you switch out of Page Builder editing back to the Visual and Text tabs that there is content being copied across there.

Remember that Page Builder content can’t be edited there, it’s only copied across for this purpose.

    Hi, thanks for the answer.
I have the ‘copy content’ option enabled in settings, however SEO doesn’t recognize Circle Icon’s text as text/or its images as images, which results in a bad SEO result for my homepage. Not fixed

Thanks for your feedback. I’ll log this as a plugin integration bug now. I unfortunately don’t have a hotfix for the short term.

It might be worth giving the Features widget in our Widget Bundle a try to see if suffers from the same challenge:

Same widget, just a bit better.
